Domain transfer?

I had yahoo web hosting and site builder...but i decided to switch web hosts , however I didn%26#039;t cancel my account with yahoo first and now my page is lost in cyberspace.

I%26#039;m trying to retrieve it so that i can re-create a new page, with my new host.

Can you help me figure out how to do it in laymen terms as I%26#039;m a newbie and don%26#039;t know the lingo.

Domain transfer?

i am not clear with your problem.

firstly, do you have a full domain name. like www.microsoft.com or www.vkinfotek.com ?

if so, you are the rightful owner of the domain. no one, can hold it back from you. you should contact domain registrar for restoring your domain name.

next, when you switch domain hosting, you have to inform your new hoster about your situation and obtain the relevant ip address.

you have to inform your domain registrar of the switch and furnish your new hosting ip address.

Domain transfer?

Type in google, yahoo

cache:domain.com you might get a cached version of your websit, not buy web hosting from website like http://aplis.net/ , and then change the name server of your domain point to the name server of new web host.

Can I build a site with Yahoo Site Builder and host it on GoDaddy?

I purchased a GoDaddy hosting package but would prefer not to pay for WebSite Tonight. I like using Yahoo Site Builder but I think it will only publish to a Yahoo hosted domain. Is that correct? Thanks!

Can I build a site with Yahoo Site Builder and host it on GoDaddy?

why not? build it on yahoo first and load it onto geocities then copy and paste the source code to another html file. then upload that file to wherever you like. i personally never used yahoo site builder, so..... my suggestions are more like assumptions.

I have a new domain name?

from GoDaddy and it allows me to host my own page. Problem is I know very little about coding, SQL servers and just how to build a website generally. Should I continue to host for free, pay someone else to host like Metropolis Hosting Community, or try Dreamweaver??

I have a new domain name?

Best for you is http://www.tripod.com which allows you host your site for free. The advantage of using tripod is easy and effective building (you don%26#039;t need to know coding)

I have a new domain name?

Well, whether your hosting is free or not, having your own %26quot;page%26quot; or website is a different issue. The hosting is just where it resides. So you can either hire someone to build your website, or you could try using a WYSIWYG type editor (what you see is what you get) to build it.

Other Replys:You dont have to know HTML codes to design, edit, and build your website.

I%26#039;m sure that GoDaddy have an online website builder that you can use for(WYSIWYG) free with your hosting plan.

If you prefer another program, commercials are Microsoft Expression Web, Adobe Macromedia DreamWeaver. There are some other free programs, like NVU, Evrsoft First Page 2006(All with code view and WYSIWYG view), and many others, just search it.

Other Replys:Try 111hosting, they can host your site for $1/month, and server is reliable.Good luck!!

Where can i go to make a site?

i need a site, that meets these req:

- free

- no trials or xpiary

- no sub domain eg. www.host.com/example

i know its nearly impossible not to get a sub domain with a free site host, but if u know a non sub domain host pls mention.

Where can i go to make a site?

Begin with setting up your own webpage as your current internet provider will provide free hosting as discussed below.

If you are currently a paid Internet subscriber, you are entitled to a %26quot;homepage%26quot; which often contains simple navigation and editing tools. And if you use the Netscape browser, the built-in Composer feature is a superior HTML authoring tool which is totally free. You can easily generate a full-blown website as a Homepage.

Nevertheless, the %26quot;homepage%26quot; URL is likely to be %26quot;http://homepage.earthlink.com/subscribe... name%26quot; and that URL can easily be overwritten via a redirection service, i.e., %26quot;mydomain.com%26quot; which allows you to link any registered domain name to %26quot;mask%26quot; another website. For example, should you type in the %26quot;domain name,%26quot; you will be immediately transported to the homepage and the hompage URL of http://homepage.earthlink.com/subscriber... a homepage URL which will be masked by the domain name. And the charge for the redirection service [even at godaddy.com] is normally FREE.

When you acquire a domain name, connect it using a redirection service [as discussed above] and submit/publish the domain name on major search engines/directories in order for Net surfers to find your website.

Good luck!

You mean, no path name. The subdomain goes in front of the domain. So,

http://www.s5h.net

www is the sub domain.

http://mail.gmail.com

mail is the sub domain.

I dont know of a site that doesnt have a sub domain. All I can think of is piczo!

Although I know there is software you can use, such as dream weaver, to create a website.

Don%26#039;t you believe for one minute that everything is free.

Trust me when I tell you it%26#039;s a come on none are completely free. Just because they furnish you with sub domains with a plan doesn%26#039;t mean you have to use them. My plan offers sub domains and I have never set them up or used them.

Question for experienced Windows 2003 Advanced Server Admin?

Right : so I have a Primary Domain controller based on Windows 2003 Server, which also acts as File%26amp;Print Server and DNS server. The domain name is (i won%26#039;t give the real name, just example) VOO , all users log on to VOO.

The company has a website VOO.RO and email on the VOO.RO domain.

Any computer OUTSIDE the LOCAL/INTERNAL network can access VOO.RO website and email, but when a computer INSIDE the LOCAL network (pc%26#039;s logging to VOO domain controller) tries to access the VOO.RO email or website, there is an error %26quot;page not found%26quot;. Any other domain is accesible, any email account EXCEPT for VOO.RO (so there is nothing wrong with the ISP,etc) . I cannot use the public IP address of the VOO.RO instead of the DNS,as I have multiple domains hosted on one external physical server...

What is wrong? How can i fix the local pc%26#039;s to be able to access website and email of VOO? There is something related to the DNS,but what?

Question for experienced Windows 2003 Advanced Server Admin?

Most likely you need to set up a local address in your DNS entries. That way those on the local intranet can access the site. I%26#039;m not that experienced, but it%26#039;s a suggestion that might help.

Question for experienced Windows 2003 Advanced Server Admin?

You broke it.

Contact whoever runs the external server.

Weird domain Problem???

Weird domain Problem???

Sounds like the servers own back-up.

It may be filed in your control panel or maybe in theirs.
